Srinagar: Miffed over the non-fulfillment of demands, employees of National Health Mission (NHM), Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) and J&K State Aids Control Society (JKSACS) threaten protest.
The demand list includes: Formulation of a job/regularization policy, enhancement of wages of all categories of NHM RNTCP &JKSACS staff,provision of social security benefits to all categories. “During Covid-19 pandemic, employees are doing everything to serve the people at the risk of their lives. but the government seems unmoved with our legitimate demands,” said an employee Musadiq Raheem.
“At the moment we are very weak financially but despite meagre salary we are continuing but don’t know why this stepmotherly treatment with us,” said President Muneer Andrabi.
In January 2018,govt had given written assurance about all the demands and set up a group of officers for redressal of our demands,“However, despite the passage of more than 2 years, the redressal of our burning issues are still pending.” added Muneer Andrabi
Govt is going to make recruitment job relaxation for the paramedicals under age limit but the govt’s first preference must be NHM,RNTCP,JKSACS employees who are putting their lives at risk during this pandemic said the President of association.
