Sopore: Taking strong note of the Orders from Administration, ‘the Russian Female Poplars trees will have to be looped/cutted as soon as possible as it is causing serious health hazards’, Tehsildar Sopore initiated drive against poplars .
Drive was held at Noorbagh, Ningli and Tuilbal areas of the town, Apart from the town, Poplars were chopped off also at number of locations from the outskirts including Warpora, Dangerpora, And Khoie.
Meanwhile concerned Tehsildar Said, “Almost 400 Russian Poplar Trees have been looped in Tehsil Sopore Only”.
Official further added, ” violators will be dealt strictly and I am requesting general public to cut down the trees as soon as possible to avoid any action from our side”.
