Karnah: In a tragic road accident, one person was killed while three other’s sustain injuries at Nachyian area of Karnah here on Monday.
Officials said that a car bearing registration no JK09-6882 rolled down into a deep gorge on Karnah-Chokibal road, resulting on-spot death of a person and Injuries to three other’s.
Soon, after the incident, the injured persons were evacuated from the site and were removed to sub-district hospital Tanghdar for the treatment.
Medical Superintendent SDH Tanghdar, Dr Farooq Qureshi told on call that one, among three injured has sustained major injuries and was declared dead on arrival. He said that after legal-medico formalities, the dead body was handed over to the family for the last rites. Giving details about the three other’s, Dr Qureshi said that they are being treated througly and are responding well to the treatment.
The deceased was identified as Rafeeq Ahmad Qureshi (52) and the injured persons were identified as Shakoor Ahmad s/o Kalam Din, resident of Dragad, Mohd Ramzan Bhat s/o of Ab Jabbar Bhat, resident of Handwara.
Meanwhile, police has taken the cognizance of the incident.
