Kashmir: While the whole world faced the COVID-19 pandemic losses to the economic sector, a young serial entrepreneur from Kashmir has made it big; Moris Adam started an ecommerce chain that caters to the people in the valley.
His company ‘Koshur Store’ is the first, largest and fastest growing online shopping app in Jammu & Kashmir.It specifically catered to the audience of Jammu & Kashmir, but lately it has been driving attention across the country. According to online data available with IK, ‘Koshur Store’ receives twelve orders a minute nationally.
The word “Koshur” means Kashmiri has become an expression of happiness in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. A common phrase has come up, “Ye maine Koshur se laya” meaning “I bought this from Koshur”
While talking to IK, Moris said, “I am glad that my people love the idea, the service, I really feel pumped. When one of my services is making thousand deliveries, quality products, offers and more”.
Last year, October; Koshur Store crossed the valuation of 1.1 crores and since then they have been growing a phenomenal ratio of 350% per quarter and ever since acquired multiple startups which includes KhenOnline, Shoob, Davah & Groceries Daily. Koshur Store has surely set its plinth and became the e-commerce giant in Jammu & Kashmir.
“Even the 2G internet had no impact on the growth of this startup, kudos to Moris because if you are not aware he is known globally for his exceptional hand in technology. He is admired and is an icon for computer science lovers . He is majorly into artificial intelligence, web & services”, said one of his associate.
“I spend like 15-18 hours every day exploring, developing, failing and what not but it all comes down to one thing- i love tech. My next project is a surprise and we’ll come to the market with a bash,” said Moris to this Reporter.
Hailing from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir; Moris has proved himself to a million youth that despite the lack of good internet facilities, problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues, there is nothing that can stop you from succeeding in life. He has become an inspiration for the youth of the valley who want to become entrepreneurs and be successful in life.
