People Defy COVID-19 Restrictions In Sopore Village, Police Swung Into Action

Sopore: Amid coronavirus scare authorities had placed restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus, locals at Tarzoo village defied restrictions to rush for local parks.

According to an eyewitness, hundreds of locals were seen gathered at Veer Panjipora of Tarzoo in Sopore.

However, in the meantime police party of Police Station Tarzoo and Police Post Puthkha reached the spot and acted accordingly.

Meanwhile, the Station House Officer (SHO) Tarzoo Bilal Khanday appealed to the general public to follow the SOPs and other health-related advisories for the safety of their health and others.

Officer added parents are requested to keep an eye on children’s as they visit the area like ‘Veer nallah’ which could prove fatal.

Pertinent to mention authorities had barred any kind of gatherings whether social, political, or religious in order to contain the spread of the virus.
