The recently declared pandemic (COVID-19) has affected the entire world including J&K .This deadly virus entered in this part of the country and affected hundreds of People, mostly in the valley.
The J&K administration worked with full dedication to prevent the community transmission.The administration started COVID hospitals and kept thousands of people under surveillance. Contact tracing and testing was done on fast track basis.
Some people who came from other parts of the world or even from other states of the country ,kept their travel history hidden which further created lot of problems for the administration .
The Kupwara District was also affected & records 27 positive cases, and hundreds under surveillance.
In view of this pandemic, the District Administration Kupwara, under the leadership of DC Anshul Garj worked day and night to prevent virus from entering into community transmission stage.
During this tough time, the J&K police, CMO Kupwara Dr. Kousar Amin , Nodal Officer Dr.AbdulGani, Medical Superintendent Distt.Hospital Handwara, Dr.Ab Rouf Bhat, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr.Aijaz Ahmad DAK President Kupwara, Dr.Aijaz& all BMO’S , Doctors, Paramedical Staff especially NHM employees, Asha workers,HDF employees, Chairman Municipalities Kupwara & Handwara, Tehsildars ,CAPD employees, PHE Deptt. , Revenue Deptt. ,DC office officials ,bank officials & other concerned Nodal Officers,Tehsildars of Red Zone Areas especially Tehsildar Drugmulla Mr.Shahbaz Ahmad and his team , employees of BDO Office Drugmulla have worked day and night ,untired for the safety of the public.
In a brief interview with the correspondent, DC Kupwara said that the religious leaders , PRI ‘s & different NGO’ as have worked parallel with the administration and have also put in their great efforts like distribution of masks ,sanitizers, fumigation & ensuring strict lockdown in the whole district.
People are expecting that in coming days , administration will work more & put in more efforts to fight this pandemic.
