An official said that tightening strong noose around drug peddlers, Police in Safapora in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district arrested two more dreaded drug peddlers during a snap naka at Kondabal Safapora.
As per details a police party headed by SI Sajjad Khanday SHO Safapora, under the close supervision of S M Shafi DySP Ganderbal and under the able patronage of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal, laid a snap naka at Kondabal Safapora in Ganderbal with the purpose to check the movements of nefarious elements in the area, who always remain in a bid to take the advantage of the prevailing situation to further their criminal designs.
During check one motorcycle bearing Registration number JK01S- 9348, carrying two persons namely Hilal Ahmad Khan @Taza Khan Son of Gh Hassan Khan and Mudasir Ahmad Shah @ Shoubi Son of Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, both residents of Safapora, was found loaded with contraband of NDPS drugs.
Although motorcyclists tried to move back on finding an unexpected naka on the road but due to tacit placement of naka they ended in failure in their attempt to give slip to the naka party and were finally apprehended tactfully under relevant provisions of criminal procedure code.
An official said that a case has been registered FIR No 20/2020, U/S 8/21 NDPS Act in Police Station Safapora.
Both of them were in drug nexus for the last ten years or so. On the arrest of these two drug peddlers local population has expressed it’s gratitude and satisfaction over the performance of police.
It is pertinent to mention here that ten dreaded drug peddlers have been arrested by Police station Safapora during last two months.
War is still on and more and more public support is required to eradicate the drug menace in and around the district.
