The students in an live interaction with the J&K students welfare organization President Majid Rashid Wani complained that they have been directly by the respective universities and colleges outside Union Territory to come back to appear in final year exam.
It is regrettable that while they were pursuing their studies and in the wake of Coronavirus Lockdown, they were left at the Mercy of God. Their Hostels were closed,Food was denied and even were asked to vacate. It is satisfying to note with Gratitude that administration of Jammu and kashmir Union Territory was kind enough to bring us back to our respective homes. Now after quarantine they are maintaining isolation in their homes and while the threat of Covid-19 pandamic is looming large on our heads and consuming Hundreds of man and women every day, it does not seem fair to ask students to appear in exams risking their lives once again Therefore acknowledging the peal of scholars studying outside Jammu and kashmir, the President of the J&K students welfare organization request the Hon’ble Education Ministry Govt.
Of India and University Grants commission (UGC) to consider promotion of students on the basis of internal assessments and waive off the Final year exams altogether keeping in view the fact that no exam can be conducted where social distance is maintained and Health and life of every student is secured because students will have to appear in bulk number and how can physical and social distance be guaranteed in the examination centers. His Excellency Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Union Territory of Jammu and kashmir is requested to intervene on humanitarian grounds to save the future of our students studying in different colleges and universities outside Jammu and kashmir.
