Ras Bihari, President & Pradeep Tiwari Elected As Secretary General Of NUJ-India.

New Delhi, March 31: The National Union of Journalists (India), affiliated with the International Federation of Journalists, is the country’s biggest journalist union. It consists of a federation of state unions of journalists and associations from across India, providing it with the strength to handle the media’s growing challenges.

Mr.Ras Bihari, Group Editor of Dainik Public Asia, was elected as President of the National Union of Journalists (India), affiliated with the International Federation of Journalists, and Pradeep Tiwari, Editor of Dainik Raj Express Bhopal, was elected as General Secretary unanimously while as Dr. Arvind Singh, DD News correspondent, was chosen as treasure. All the members were elected without opposition for the post ofavice President, Secretary, and National Executive.

According to Ashok Kinkar, the Central Returning Officer of NUJ-India, Andhra Pradesh’s Punnam Raju, Assam’s Bhupen Goswami, West Bengal’s Deepak Rai, Himachal Pradesh’s Ranesh Rana, Rajasthan’s Vimlesh Sharma, Uttar Pradesh’s Kamalkant Upamanyu, and Uttarakhand’s Secretary are the vice presidents. Kailash Chandra Joshi from Delhi, Amlesh Raju from Telangana, and V Rajendra Nath from Telangana were elected.

Delhi’s Manohar Singh, Manoj Mishra, Anand Rana, Manoj Verma, Ms. Usha Pahwa, Ms. Pratibha Shukla, and Sachin Budhauliya had been elected as National Executive Members. Uttar Pradesh Ratan Dixit, Pramod Goswami, Ajay Kumar, Virendra Saxena, Santosh Bhagwan, Vivek Jain, Abhay Pati from Odisha, Suresh Das, Akshay Sahoo, Pramod Samantare, and Someshwar Boral from West Bengal have been elected to the position of National executive. From Andhra Pradesh M. Yugandhar Reddy, D. Venkareddy, P. Subhash Babu, Telangana’s D. Rajalingam, Ms. Indrani Sarkar, and P. Rammohan, as well as T. Shekhamayuddin from Tamil Nadu, have been unanimously elected to the National Executive. Rajasthan’s Rakesh Sharma, Sanjay Saini, Khilavan Chandrakar from Madhya Pradesh, Vipul Kaushik from Haryana, and Parmanand Deka and Mayukh Goswami from Assam have been unanimously elected for the National Executive post.

The statement was made by the Central Returning Officer for the NUJ-India Elections 2023 after the withdrawal deadline had passed in the evening on Thursday.
