Residents decry drinking Water in Lassi Bhat Ganderbal Residents Suffering

The residents of Lassi Bhat Arch area in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District are up arms against the Jal Shakti department for not providing them Drinking water.

The residents are suffering a lot due to non availability of drinking water and are being forced to get drinking water from other nearby villages.

The residents said that they are without water supply for the last 15 days, leading residents to complain about scarcity.

We have informed the higher authorities several times but nothing has been done to restore the water supply, said Ghulam Rasool a local resident.

The residents further said that they can’t wash clothes, take bath and cook properly.

Residents alleged that Jal Shakti Department has failed to redress their problem.

“We are being forced to get drinking water from polluted water bodies of the area or other nearby villages”. Residents alleged.

The Locals of the area told that we are without water from last 15 days.

The residents urge Lt. Governor of UT J&K and district administration to provide us Drinking water so that we can get some sort of relief.
