Residents decry drinking water shortage in many areas of Srinagar city.

Residents of Lalbazar, Alamdar colony, Hazratbal, Ahmadnagar, Umerhare, Buchpora, Soura in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district Complained that they are facing acute shortage of drinking water amid COVID-19 Pandemic.

The residents said that they are without proper water supply for the last five months,leading residents to complain about scarcity.

We have informed the higher authorities several times but nothing has been done to restore the proper water supply, said Mushtaq Ahmad a local resident.

The residents further said that they can’t wash clothes, take bath and cook properly.

The residents said that water scarcity which makes their life troublesome during this holy month of Ramadan.

The residents urge the Lt. Governor administration and concerned authorities to make contingency measures for redressing the alarming crises of drinking water.
