Anantnag:- Several residential houses were damaged in a fire incident that broke out during the intervening night of sunday- monday in a congested locality of Pushu mohalla, Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir’s district Anantnag.
Locals said that the fire broke out in a residential house at 3:30 am and soon engulfed to nearby houses.However, timely action of the Fire and emergency department doused off the flames with fire extinguishers and was brought under the control and prevented it to spread other houses.
A police official confirmed the fire incident and said, Several residential houses were gutted in the fire incident, adding that the area is congested and we are verifying the exact number of houses damaged in the incident and the cause of fire is being ascertained.
