Anwar Aajiz Is New Patron, Rashid Manzoor To Hold Presidentship

Lolab: Lolab-based literary body ‘Shehjaar-e-Adab’ Sunday framed a new body in a bid to excel and to keep up with the ever changing dynamics and expectations of public.
The literary body was shaped in a meeting held at the residence of Ashraf Adil in Shat Muqam Lolab under the chairmanship of Bashir Tahir in presence of several members.
After hours long deliberations among the participants a consensus was reached upon,to revamp the body and subsequently new functionaries were named.
The newly appointed functionaries are; Anwar Ajiz as Patron,Rashid Manzoor as President, Sultan Salik as Vice President,Ashraf Adil as General Secretary,Nasir Masroor as Joint Secretary, Manzoor Mohsin as Organizer, Bashir Shahid as Treasurer and Noor Ul Hasan Andrabi as Media Secretary.
Tahir congratulated the newly formed body and remarked that Shehjaar-e-Adab has achieved many goals till date and also crossed many milestones in the field of literature. “With the scope of Shejaar-e-Adab Lolab expanding day in and day out there, however there still needs a lot to be done”, he said, adding “Hope the new body lifts the organization to new heights.”
The swearing-in ceremony to administer oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed functionaries is likely to be announced in coming days.
A Poetic Symposium (Mehfil-e-Mushaira) was also conducted on the occasion.(IK)
