Sopore : The two militants killed on Friday in an encounter that raged between militants and government forces at Warpora area of Sopore town in North kashmir were identified.
An official said that, two militants killed in Warpora operation were affiliated with the proscribed Lashkar e Toiba militant outfit and have been identified as a top commander Fayaz Ahmed War @ Rukana Son of Ghulam Mohi u Din War of Warpora Sopore and Shaheen Mir @ Shaheen Molvi Son of Mohammad Kamal Mir a resident of Cherpora Budgam.
He said, killing of Fayaz, a top Lashkar commander is a big achievement for the security forces and sever jolt to the militant outfit.
He was involved in a number of terror incidents, Civilian killings /attacks on Police/security forces establishments, he added.
