Sopore, Oct 06 : Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Wednesday arrested two smugglers and recovered illicit timber from their possession.
An official told, that acting on a specific input a team of police headed by SHO Mudasir Shafi of Panzala station upon intercepting a vehicle bearing registration number JKO5H-7897 at Rohama area of Rafiabad in Sopore recovered large quantity of illicit forest timber and arrested two accused.
The officer identified the duo as Musadiq Farooq son of Farooq Ahmed Dar and Ubaid Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad Dar residents of Malganipora Pazalpora.
In this regard acase FIR No. 111/2021 U/S 379 IPC & 26 Indian Forest Act has been registered in Police Station Panzla.
