Residents Allege Forced To Drink Contimnated Water

Sopore : Amid Corona scare residents of Shercolony in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district went up in arms against Jalshakhti department.
Residents allege Sopore Jalshakhti department for forcing them to drink contimnated water.
Locals while talking with correspondent said, “We the residents of Shercolny are protesting as Jalshakhti department in this pandemic time is forcing us drink contimnated water,
Local added, “Water is containing dead rats, birds and cats and department is forcing us to drink this water”.
Similarly Another locals Mushtaq Ahmed said, while administration’s tall claims about swachita, where is swachita, we are facing this issue since long but department didn’t pay any heed to us, hence forced us to drink this dirty water even in this holy month of Ramadan”.
Locals appeal higher authorities to intervene into this grave matter.
When contacted to ADC Sopore, Ashiq Hussain Lilly official assured this matter will be resolved soon on priority basis.
Meanwhile police party headed by SHO Tarzoo reached the spot and pacify the protesters that the matter will be taken to authorities and will be resolved soon.
