Sopore : Sopore police on Wednesday held two including an Special Police Office (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police in north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district.
An official told, a team of Police Station Tarzoo headed by the Station House Officer (SHO), Insp Bilal Khanday during patrolling held two burglars and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Vehicle used in the commission of crime was also seized, he said.
He identified the burglars as Aqib Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Qayoom Najar and Tawkeer Ahmed Qazi son of Irshad Ahmed Qazi both the residents of Chankhan Sopore.
Tawkeer Qazi is an SPO (No. 597) who is currently posted at District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla, he added.
Meanwhile a case FIR No. 58/2021 U/S 379 IPC in this connection stands registered at Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
