Srinagar: While demanding the stern punishment to the culprits,the Safa Kadal Acid Attack has beem widely condemned by the all walks of life.The protesters seek the stern punishment to the culprits so that such heinous are put to an end.

The condemned poured after a 24 year old girl on Tuesday evening suffered grievous injuries to her face and eyes after unidentified person’s threw acid on her face when she was walking off in Safakadal Srinagar.Doctors in SMHS have wednesday said that the victim is unlikely to regain her eyesight as most part of her eyes have suffered major demage.

“This is the worst example of violence against women & there is no place for any such action in any civilised society. We stand by the victim in this hour of pain & hope all the necessary steps are taken by the authorities to provide justice to her”, People’s Conference Wrote on their Twitter handle.

“I express solidarity with the victim & her family and hope that the perpetrator of this crime is immediately brought to justice and set an example by punishing him so that no one dares to commit such a crime again” Chairman DDC Baramulla Safeena Baig writes on her Twitter handle.

“I am extremely disheartened and anguished by news of an acid attack on a young girl near Safa Kadal,Srinagar”, adfing “I stand with the victim and her family and will reach out personally”Junaid Azam Matto Mayor SMC writes on his twitter handle.

“It’s an absolute shame that a 24 yr old woman was attacked with acid in Hawal, Srinagar.Lots of self-introspection as a society needs to b done. The shocking act of acid attacks has once again reared its ugly head. Such brutal acts hv in the past defaced & devastated many women”, reads the Twitter account of Sarah Hayat Shah.

Meanwhile,Vice President BJP Kupwara Javaid Qureshi alongside his party subordinates on Thursday also holds protest against the acid attackers.

He alongside his workers were chanted slogans “Mulzim Ko Fahnsi Do” (Hang The Culprits),Insaaf Do,Insaaf Dou,Beaityou Ko Insaaf Dou,Justice For Victim.They have demanded a stern punishment to the culprits so such incidents may not occur in future.

“Feeling disheartening to see that such beasts still existing in our society.We have lost humanity,solidarity so what shall we convey to others who are visiting our Kashmir”, Qureshi said,

Due to the gruesome incident,the entire valley has witnessed protests against the heinous crime and demanded stern punishment to the person’s involved in the attack.

Notably,Srinagar police on wednesday claimed to have arrested three accused in acid attack case.

Legal action will also be taken against all shops which are not following Hon’ble SC directions about stockage of Acidic material,Srinagar police wrote on their Twitter handle.

Apni Party President along with Junaid Azam Matto on Thursday visited hospital to seek her well being in the hospital and has said that the party will bear for her advance medical treatment.(IK)
