Handwara: The final match of Green Buds Championship was today held at Tirch Nutnussa between Star Eleven Jaggerpora and Spartan warriors Nutnoosa and Star Elven Jaggerpora lifted the trophy by 6 wickets.
Winning the toss Spartan warriors decided to bat first and they managed to score 182 runs in allotted overs, star 11 jageropora completed the target easily.
According to the chief organizer, Zubair Ahmad 32 teams from various areas of the district participated in the tournament, adding that the aim of this tournament was to keep the youth engage with sports activities and to keep them away from evil activities.
On this occasion of the final Match, DDC Chairman Irfan Sultan Panditpuri, , DDC Nutnoosa Adv Zahoor Ahamd, Major Azhar, Mohd Ameen Pir besides them several other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The winning team was awarded Cash RS 35K and trophies, and the runner-up teams were awarded Rs 15K and trophies.
At the award ceremony DDC chairman irfan panditpuri, DDC Nutnoosa shared the Trophy to winners.
Meanwhile, in the post-match presentation ceremony, DDC Chairman Kupwara Irfan Panditpuri told that we have a lot of talent here in each and every field and added that such talent will be promoted in the district.
