Kupwara: In a shocking incident, stray dogs leave at least 12 persons including children injured on Thursday afternoon in Awoora village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports reaching to the Inside Kashmir states that stray dogs leave dozens injured in Shesharmali Alachezab, Awoora, Mir Muqam. According to locals this incident has sent shock waves in whole community.
All the injured were taken to NTPHC Awoora near about 03:45 pm for treatment, where couple of injured persons were referred to SDH Kupwara.
This incident occurred around 03 PM when a stray dog attacked at least 12 persons including children and leave them in injuries. After the incident,the injured were taken to NTPHC Awoora.
“We reached NTPHC Awoora at 03:45 pm where no doctor was found present except BUMS Doctor . When the inhabitants of the area came to know about the matter, they expressed deep anguish and left while protesting.
When residents protest outside the centre, in an hour all the staff members reached to the sub Center dramatically. Only two injured persons were vaccinated and rest off them were referred to SDH Kupwara.
“Stray dogs have made our life difficult as we feel threat especially during morning and evening on regular. The old-age persons are hostile to situations when they go for the Esha and Fajr Prayers,” a resident of the area said.
“Tell me if minutes before no doctor was present here except one, howcome in only one-hour sub-center was filled with staff members. A doctor has been posted here but ironically the said doctor is taking pay from this center but attached at another center, “alleged a local.
To ascertain the proper facts,When IK approached Concerned BMO Trehgam,he said that,”I will look into the matter and I’m requesting people of the area to come my office with a complaint letter and I’ll take a strict action if any one found guilty”.(IK)
