Two weeks on, transformer damaged in villgam yet to be repaired

Handwara: 16 Nov Residents of Bagi -e-islam Village of Villagam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday complained that PDD department failed to repair damaged transformer despite passing two weeks.


According to the residents the transformer of the Village got damaged two weeks and PDD completely failed to repair it resulting the people of the area are facing hardships in harsh winter.
The villagers said the 100 KV transformer allotted to them developed technical snag three times in the last Two weeks resulting in immense hardships to them.They alleged that the PDD had failed to restore power and due to the frequent damage to the transformer have left them in truma.

They said, even after repairing the transformer twice on their own money, it did not work, the villagers added.They urged concerned PDD officials to repair the transformer at the earliest.
When IK contacted ,Executive Engineer PDD sub Division Handwara Mohammad Maqbool, he assured that the transformer will be repaired .
