Srinagar, Jun 19:
Forest department authorities on Friday seized a vehicle carrying minor forest produce in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official privy to the seizure told Kashmir Glory that a naka was laid after receiving a specific tip-off by reliable sources of suspicious movement in the forest area.
The naka, as per the official, laid down by DFO Anantnag Feroz Ahmad Chaket alongwith his special team intercepted a vehicle carrying 49 kilograms of Illicit minor forest produce (MFP) at Panchalthal Kuthar.
The vehicle was seized on the spot and further investigations in this regard taken up, the official added.
