Vijay Diwas Celebrated In North Lolab

Lolab: To commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan during the 1971 war,Vijay Diwas was celebrated with huge enthusiasm here in North Lolab.

As per the data received by this newspaper,In Consonance with the ongoing celebrations for ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh,the Lolab Valley in North Kashmir celebrated ‘Vijay Diwas’ on Thursdays here in North Lolab Valley.

During the programme,Various commemorative events such as ‘Vijay Diwas Drawing and Poster Making Competition”Patriotic Dance Competition’, ‘Patriotic Song Singing Competition’, ‘Screening of Documentary on Victory of India in 1971 War’.The ‘Tiranga Rally’ was also held by Local Youth’in the Lolab valley.

Large number of people from different walks of life across the valley participated in the event with enthusiasm and zeal.The ‘patriotic pride’on the faces of youth and children were seen during the Tiranga rally.

Pertinently,India celebrates December 16 as Vijay Diwas to commemorate its victory over Pakistan during the 1971 war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.This entire year marked the celebrations of the 50th anniversary year (Swarnim Vijay Varsh) celebrations of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1971.

Entire Lolab valley remembered the supreme sacrifices of soldiers killed during the Victory in 1971 War and pay tribute to our martyrs.

The event was witnessed over three hundred people from all age group.
