Rajouri: Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACP) Rajouri, Mohd Rafiq (JKAS), conducted a surprise inspection visit to various Panchayats of Block Thanamandi and Block Plangarh in District Rajouri to assess the progress and quality of ongoing developmental works being executed under Rural Sanitation.
During the visit, the ACP Rajouri inspected the under-construction Panchayat Ghars, Compost Pits, and DEWATS (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Systems) being developed across different Panchayats. He reviewed the pace and quality of construction works and took stock of the implementation status of the projects on the ground.
Mohd Rafiq (ACP) Rajouri emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards and ensuring the timely completion of all developmental works for the benefit of the rural population. He directed the concerned BDOs, technical staff, and field functionaries to closely monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to prescribed guidelines.
Meanwhile, the ACP Rajouri held an online meeting with the all BDOs and ExEn REW & other technical officials, during which he instructed them to ensure that all under-construction works are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also emphasized the need for special attention towards maintaining and thoroughly checking the quality of the works being executed.
The ACP also interacted with local representatives and officials during the inspection and stressed that developmental works should be executed efficiently to strengthen rural infrastructure and improve sanitation facilities in Panchayat areas. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to the effective implementation of developmental schemes across the district.
