Appreciation and Gratitude for a Meaningful Educational Initiative

KUPWARA: The Education Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Chitvan Wazir, Chairperson, WC Foundation Trust, and Mrs. Nutan Shrikant Suse, motivational speaker and academician, for their valuable efforts and continued commitment towards the cause of education and child development.
The school infrastructure-aiding initiative launched today at Government Middle School, Kashirah, Kupwara, under the Child Welfare Programme of WC Foundation Trust, is a commendable step in this direction. The initiative is aligned with the vision of NEP 2020, which recognises Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) as the foundation of lifelong learning, and seeks to strengthen kindergarten infrastructure in government primary and upper primary schools across Kashmir.
The focus on creating child-friendly, safe and stimulating learning environments through age-appropriate classroom furniture, play-based learning materials, teaching-learning resources, storybooks, floor mats, interactive learning corners, outdoor play equipment and improved classroom aesthetics reflects a thoughtful and welcome approach towards early childhood education. Wherever required, minor renovation and refurbishment of existing kindergarten spaces would further help create developmentally appropriate environments for young learners.
The contribution of Ms. Chitvan Wazir and initiatives of this nature add significant value to educational development in the region. The emphasis on joyful and experiential learning, school readiness and providing children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning deserves appreciation.
The Education Department sincerely acknowledges the dedication of both Ms. Chitvan Wazir and Mrs. Nutan Shrikant Suse and appreciates their efforts to complement the work of educational institutions through meaningful interventions and engagement with children and educators.
It may also be placed on record that the students, staff and members of civil society at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tarathpora, deeply appreciated the recent visit of Mrs. Nutan Shrikant Suse to the institution and her participation in the Career Counselling Programme. Her interaction with the students and the guidance she shared made the programme meaningful and inspiring.
The Education Department also places on record its appreciation and gratitude to the District Education Planning Officer, who is presently holding additional charge as Dy. CEO, for identifying the appropriate students and remaining closely connected with the team throughout the initiative. Sincere appreciation is also extended to the Zonal Education Officers of Kupwara and Handwara for their cooperation and support, as well as to the Principal, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Tarathpora, for facilitating and supporting the engagement with the students and to the Noted educationist and Motivational Speaker Mr Rayees Masroor for the Career Counselling Programme.
Such collaborative efforts by educational officers, school heads, teachers, civil society organisations and committed individuals demonstrate how collective responsibility can contribute meaningfully to the educational and holistic development of our children.
