DBU Faculty and Staff Honoured for Excellence on Independence Day

Mandi Gobindgarh, August 16: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) faculty and staff members were honoured with prestigious Prashansa Patra (Certificates of Appreciation) on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, in recognition of their exemplary public service, professional commitment and contribution to education and community welfare.

At a district-level ceremony organised by the District Administration of Fatehgarh Sahib, prominent personalities were conferred Prashansa Patra for their exceptional contributions to public service and community welfare. The honours were presented by S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, in the presence of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and senior district administration officials.

Among those recognised were S. Hardev Singh, for his outstanding dedication and sustained contribution to social welfare initiatives across the district, and Naresh Kumar, for exemplary public service and commendable efforts towards supporting and uplifting the local community.

In a separate ceremony held at Amloh, three members associated with Desh Bhagat University were also honoured for their distinguished service and professional contributions. The awards were presented by Mr. Gurinder Singh Garry Birring, MLA, Amloh Constituency, in the presence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

Prof. (Dr.) Precious Sheoran, Dean, Faculty of Education, was honoured for exemplary leadership and her continuous commitment to advancing educational standards. Mr. Dilbagh Singh, Office Assistant-cum-Special Education Teacher for the Hearing Impaired, was recognised for his dedicated service and significant contribution towards inclusive education. Mr. Manjot Singh Bhatia, Assistant Account Officer, was commended for his diligence, professionalism and distinguished public service.

The recognition of DBU faculty and staff reflects their commitment to excellence, social responsibility and service to society. Their achievements bring pride to the University and reaffirm its commitment to nurturing professionals who contribute meaningfully to the development of the community and the nation.
