Grand Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference Held at Iqra Model Public School, Kandi Karnah

Karnah, Aug 31: Iqra Model Public School, Kandi Karnah, organised a grand Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference, bringing together more than 200 students, parents, local residents, educationists, dignitaries and members of civil society in a spiritually uplifting and educational gathering centred on the blessed life, character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The programme was dedicated exclusively to Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ, with school students taking an active part in speeches, presentations and various activities highlighting different aspects of the life, struggles, character, teachings and noble traditions of the Prophet ﷺ.
Through their presentations, the students highlighted important lessons from the Seerah and emphasised the relevance of the Prophet’s exemplary character in everyday life. Their participation also provided them an opportunity to develop confidence, research skills and a deeper understanding of Islamic history and values.
The conference was attended by Chief Guest Qazi Abdul Hamid, retired Principal, along with SHO Ashraf, Incharge BMO Dr Shahid, Mufti Tahir Naqash and Mufti Ikhlaq, who also served as judges during the competitions.
Among other prominent attendees were Raja Nazir, Ayoob Mir, Haider Nadeem, Hafiz Abdul Wahid Nazki, President of the Private Schools Association (PSA) Karnah Ishfaq Sayeed, Bar Association Karnah President Advocate Mehboob and Mohammad Ismail, owner of Khan General Store, Tangdar. Principals of private schools, representatives of government schools and senior members of civil society also participated in the event.
A major attraction of the conference was a model-making competition based on the historical background of the Seerah. Students prepared educational and creative models depicting various aspects of the historical environment associated with the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, including Madinah, the Kaaba and the social conditions of Arabia during the period when idol worship and polytheism were prevalent.
The models reflected the students’ efforts to understand Islamic history through creative and practical learning. The participants were appreciated for their creativity, research, hard work and understanding of the subject.
Students securing first, second and third positions in the model-making competition were honoured with prizes and certificates. Students who secured top positions in other competitions and activities held during the programme were also recognised and felicitated for their performance.
Chairperson Ms Musrat Bano expressed gratitude to the chief guest, special guests, judges, parents, students, educationists, members of civil society, media persons and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the conference.
As a gesture of respect and appreciation, the Chairperson presented tokens of honour to the Chief Guest, special guests and the Guest of Honour from the media fraternity.
The organisers said the objective of the conference was not merely to hold a religious gathering, but to introduce the younger generation to the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in an engaging and meaningful manner. The programme sought to encourage students to study the Seerah, understand its moral values and strive to incorporate the Prophet’s exemplary character and conduct into their daily lives.
The participation of local women, parents, members of the education sector and people from different parts of the Karnah Valley added to the inclusive nature of the gathering. Members of the media fraternity were also present to cover the event.
The conference concluded with an emphasis on the importance of imparting moral, ethical and Islamic values to children through meaningful educational initiatives. The organisers expressed hope that such programmes would encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of the Seerah and its enduring message.
The event emerged as a significant educational and spiritual gathering in Karnah, providing students and the wider community an opportunity to learn, reflect upon and promote the noble teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
