Anantnag, July 28, KNT: Congress leader and MLA Anantnag, Peerzada Mohammad Syed, on Tuesday visited the damaged Achabal–Chittergul road near Kanganhall Bridge to assess the situation following damage caused by recent heavy rainfall.
During the visit, the legislator inspected the affected stretch and reviewed the extent of damage that has disrupted traffic and inconvenienced commuters.
Expressing concern over the condition of the road, Peerzada Mohammad Syed directed the concerned authorities to immediately undertake restoration work and ensure that the damaged portion is repaired at the earliest to restore smooth connectivity.
He also interacted with local residents and commuters, assuring them that all necessary measures would be taken to expedite the restoration process and minimise inconvenience to the public.
The MLA stressed the need for prompt execution of repair works to prevent further deterioration of the road and ensure safe movement of vehicles in the area. [KNT]
