Sanjay Aggarwal Re-Elected as Chairperson of FADA J&K for Fourth Consecutive Term

Jammu, 8 September 2026: In the 62nd Annual General Meeting of Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), held at New Delhi, Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal has been unanimously re-elected as the Chairperson of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), J&K for the year 2026-28, reflecting the continued confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by the automobile dealer fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir.

His re-election for an unprecedented fourth consecutive term is recognition of his sustained efforts towards strengthening the automobile retail industry, addressing the concerns of dealers, and fostering constructive engagement with government departments, financial institutions, OEMs and other stakeholders.

Mr Sanjay Aggarwal is the Founder and Managing Director of Jammu Motors (P) Ltd. The company currently has franchise of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. With 30 years of experience in all aspects of automobile business, Mr Aggarwal has a proven track record of aggressive growth in all divisions of the company. He has also served as Co Chair of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu Chapter. He is associated with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and Jammu Automobiles Dealers Association (JADA) as its Executive Member

 

Mr Sanjay Aggarwal has been awarded with premier awards like

  • Jagran Achiever Award” by Jagran Prakashan Group. at a distinguished award ceremony held in Shanghai, China.
  • “Vyapar Rattan Award” by Federation of Trade and Industry of India (FTII) during the FTII Global Conference held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi
  • 7th Entrepreneur & Achiever Awards 2026 by Media Federation of India (MFI) and Public Relations Council of India (PRCI)  at Chandigarh that recognize his unmatched acumen, institutional leadership, and contribution to economic growth.

Under his leadership, FADA J&K has consistently worked towards creating a transparent, efficient and business-friendly ecosystem for automobile dealers across the Union Territory. His proactive engagement with government departments, financial institutions, OEMs and other stakeholders has helped bring greater focus to issues affecting the day-to-day functioning and long-term sustainability of automobile dealerships.

 

One of the key focus areas of Mr Aggarwal’s tenure has been to establish stronger and more constructive coordination between the dealer fraternity and government departments. He has led several delegations and meetings with senior officials to discuss issues concerning the industry and has consistently advocated for policies that balance regulatory requirements with the practical needs of automobile businesses.


During his previous terms, Mr. Aggarwal has actively taken up several important issues at all levels concerning automobile dealers in J&K, including Benefits under Vehicle Scrappage Policy, Regulation of Used Cars Business, Rationalization of VAT % on CNG and increase its distribution Network in Jammu & Kashmir, Exemption of Road Tax on Hybrid and CNG Vehicles, Issue of Tax on Tax, Introduction of Green Tax on Re Registration of End-of-Life Vehicles, One UT/State - One Trade Certificate, Formation of Automobile Service Center Cluster in Jammu and Kashmir, EV Charging Infrastructure, Redressal of Parking Crisis, ease of doing business, regulatory compliance, banking and finance-related concerns, dealership payouts, and improvement in coordination between dealers and government authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson, FADA J&K, expressed his gratitude to the members of the association for reposing their faith in him for the fourth consecutive year. He said “I am deeply honoured and humbled by the confidence placed in me by the automobile dealer fraternity of J&K. This responsibility is not merely recognition of the work done in the past, but a renewed commitment to work even harder for the growth and welfare of the entire dealer community. I thank all the members for their continued support and trust.”

Mr. Aggarwal added that during his fourth term, FADA J&K would continue to focus on ease of doing business, reduction of regulatory challenges, digitalization and transparency in government processes, better coordination with government, financial institutions and OEMs, and creating a sustainable and profitable business environment for automobile dealerships.
