The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Saturday expressed his profound gratitude to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Archeological Survey of India, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar,and all concerned departments for according Administrative Approval to a series of landmark heritage conservation and restoration projects across the Zadibal constituency.

Terming the approvals as the fulfilment of a long-standing public demand, Tanvir Sadiq said that the decision reflects the government's unwavering commitment towards preserving and promoting Kashmir’s rich spiritual, cultural, and historical heritage.

“As promised to the people of Zadibal, our efforts to preserve, restore and rejuvenate revered Asthans, shrines, temples, and heritage sites across the constituency are steadily translating into concrete action. These approvals represent a significant step towards safeguarding our shared legacy for future generations,” he said. The projects that have received Administrative Approval include:

Astan Mir Shams-ud-Din Iraqi, Zadibal – Rs 56 lakh; Miya Shah Sahib Shrine, Karapora Rainawari – Rs 150 lakh; Ziyarat Sharief Makhdoom Sahib – Rs 460 lakh

Assar-e-Sharief Hazratbal – Rs 106 lakh; Ganesh Temple near Makhdoom Sahib – Rs 50 lakh; Mosque & Tomb of Madin Sahib, Hawal – Rs 50 lakh Ahmad Shah Macham Sheri Bhat, Alamgiri Bazar Hawal – Rs 50 lakh; Hari Parbat Fort (Phase-II) – Rs 89 lakh; Shiv Temple, Karapora Rainawari – Rs 176 lakh. He noted that these projects encompass some of the Valley’s most revered religious and historical landmarks and will play a vital role in strengthening efforts aimed at conservation, restoration, and heritage tourism. “These initiatives are not merely developmental works; they are investments in the preservation of our collective memory, identity, and centuries-old traditions. The restoration and protection of these treasured sites will ensure that the cultural and spiritual heritage of Kashmir continues to inspire and guide generations to come,” he said. The MLA Zadibal particularly thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his personal commitment to heritage preservation and inclusive development, as well as the ASI ( Archeological Survey of India and all concerned officials for their cooperation in bringing these long-awaited projects to fruition.

The approval of these projects marks an important milestone in our collective endeavour to protect and promote the invaluable spiritual, cultural, and historical assets of Srinagar.
