TEHRAN, June 28 : US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that US forces had struck 10 Iranian military targets in and around the Strait of Hormuz Saturday night in response to Iran's alleged attack on a commercial vessel.

"U.S. Navy and Air Force fighter jets conducted strikes tonight on 10 Iranian military targets at multiple locations in and near the Strait of Hormuz for Iran's drone attack on M/T Kiku," the command said on X.

CENTCOM also published footage of the strikes.

CENTCOM previously claimed that at 4:30 a.m. ET (2 p.m. IST) on Saturday, an Iranian drone had attacked the Panamanian-flagged tanker Kiku, which was carrying over 2 million barrels of oil, in the Strait of Hormuz.

"Commercial vessel transits through the Strait of Hormuz continue," CENTCOM added.

US President Donald Trump also said that the United States had struck multiple targets in Iran.

"United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites," Trump said on Truth Social.

He called it a response to "violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN!"

"There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!" the US leader warned.

Earlier, Iranian media reported strikes on the Iranian island of Qeshm and near the city of Sirik, as well as near the port city of Bandar-e Lengeh in the south of the country. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed attacks on multiple targets in Iran in response to Iran's alleged attack on a commercial vessel.
