Police in a joint operation has recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including an AK-47 rifle, hand grenades, and an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Warpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir on Monday.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs from local residents, a joint team of the Indian Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted the operation in the area.
During the thorough search, the forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, three hand grenades, one UBGL, and 30 rounds of ammunition, which were found concealed at the site.
The recovered weapons and explosives were immediately seized, and a formal case has been registered for further investigation.
