Rajouri:  Former Minister and Vice President BJP Ch Zulfkar Ali  paid a visit to Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and held an extensive interaction with Vice Chancellor Prof Javid Iqbal regarding the university’s academic progress, research initiatives, infrastructure development, and future growth plans.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a wide range of issues concerning the overall development of the university, enhancement of academic standards, promotion of research and innovation, and expansion of opportunities for students. The discussions also focused on strengthening the institution’s role in meeting the educational aspirations of the youth of the Pir Panjal region.

Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary Zulfqar Ali described Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University as one of the region’s premier institutions of higher learning, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of young generations through quality education, research, and innovation.

He appreciated the efforts being undertaken under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Javid Iqbal and lauded the university administration for its commitment to academic excellence and institutional advancement. He noted that the university has emerged as a center of knowledge and enlightenment, contributing significantly to the educational and socio-economic development of the region.

The former minister emphasized that strong educational institutions are essential for the progress of society and expressed confidence that BGSBU would continue to scale new heights in academics, research, and professional education. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the university and creating greater opportunities for students and youth.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision of further enhancing the university’s academic ecosystem, promoting innovation-driven learning, and ensuring that BGSBU continues to serve as a leading institution of higher education in Jammu and Kashmir.
