Mandi Gobindgarh, 8 July: Desh Bhagat Hospital and Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic Hospital successfully organised a two-day Free Health Check-up Camp at Gurudwara Chevein Patshahi Sahib, Village Sounti. Held under the guidance of Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Hon'ble Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur, the camp benefited around 550 patients from Sounti and nearby villages.
The camp provided free specialist consultations, haemoglobin (Hb) and blood sugar tests, free medicines, eye check-ups, and dental check-ups. Specialist doctors, consultants, paramedical staff, and students from the School of Nursing and Dental Department actively participated, while the nursing team also spread awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Kulbushan, Director Campus, DBAC&H, and Dr. Jyoti H. Dhami, Medical Superintendent, Desh Bhagat Hospital & DBAC&H.
On the occasion, the Organizing Committee of Gurudwara Chevein Patshahi honoured Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur for their outstanding contribution to community welfare through free medical services. The Gurdwara Management Committee also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the entire medical team, reaffirming Desh Bhagat University's commitment to providing accessible and quality healthcare to society.
