NICE (France), Jun 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday viewed the artworks of two French artists who attended an art residency in Jaipur and drew inspiration from Indian aesthetics and culture.
Modi, who is in France to attend the G7 Summit, along with Macron met with Thibault De La Lance and Theophile de Bascher.
The artists visited India for the first time and drew inspiration from Indian aesthetics and culture, incorporating them into their designs to create art that reflects the cultural confluence between India and France, Randhir Jaiswal, Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, said in a social media post.
The artworks were created following their 10-day art residency in Jaipur.
Earlier in the day, Modi along with Macron attended the 'Bharat Innovates' event, which brought together top innovation startups from India, France and some other countries.
Modi also held discussions with Macron on a wide range of areas, including AI, startups, trade, infrastructure, mobility and health, the Ministry of External Affairs said. (PTI)
