Srinagar, 07 July:- The National Loktantrik Party (NLP) on Tuesday held an organisational meeting at Baspora village in South Kashmir's Shopian district, where dozens of party workers participated with great enthusiasm.
The meeting was presided over by M. Yaqoob Dunoo, National Spokesperson of the National Loktantrik Party. He was accompanied by Mr. Lucky Ali, State General Secretary (Organisation), Shri Sukhdev Sangral, Vice President, and Mrs. Shahista Akhter, State President of the Mahila Morcha, along with several party workers and office-bearers.
During the meeting, the party announced the formation of its District Shopian Unit. Mr. Muhammad Saleem was appointed as the District President, Shopian, while Mrs. Rehana Khan was appointed as the District President of the Mahila Morcha, Shopian.
Several important organisational decisions were also taken to strengthen the party's structure across Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Abbas Kant was promoted and inducted into the party's State Body in recognition of his dedication, hard work, and valuable contribution towards strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, M. Yaqoob Dunoo emphasised the importance of building a strong and active organisational network at the grassroots level. He urged the newly appointed office-bearers to work with dedication, unity, and commitment while remaining accessible to the people and addressing their genuine concerns. He said the party's strength lies in its workers, whose sincere efforts and close connection with the public would help expand the organisation across every district and village of Jammu and Kashmir.
He further called upon party members to maintain discipline, uphold the party's principles, and work collectively for the welfare and development of the people.
Dunoo said that the National Loktantrik Party is committed to providing a transparent, accountable, and people-centric political platform. He stressed that the party would continue to raise public issues related to unemployment, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. He appealed to the youth and people from all sections of society to actively participate in strengthening democratic values and join hands with the party in its mission to build a progressive, inclusive, and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting concluded with party leaders expressing confidence that the newly constituted District Shopian Unit would play a vital role in expanding the party's organisational base and strengthening its outreach at the grassroots level across the district. (Press Release).
