Piramal Foundation Kupwara Joins Independence Day Celebrations at Govt. Girls High School Drugmulla, BMS Anderhama & GMS Gugloosa Trehgam

Kupwara, August 16, 2026: The Piramal Foundation Kupwara team joined students, teachers and communities in celebrating the 80th Independence Day at Govt. Girls High School Drugmulla, BMS Anderhama and GMS Gugloosa, Trehgam.

The celebrations were filled with patriotic speeches, songs, cultural performances and enthusiastic participation by students. The confidence, enthusiasm and happiness of the children made the occasion truly special.

At Govt. Girls High School Drugmulla, Mr. Syed Basharat Rasool, Tehsildar, Drugmulla, graced the zonal-level celebration as the Chief Guest and encouraged students to pursue knowledge, values and confidence to contribute towards a stronger India.

Ms. Nighat Aara, HoI, GMS Gugloosa Trehgam, shared her joy on the occasion, saying, "We must always remember the sacrifices of those who gave us freedom and work collectively for our nation's development, ensuring every individual gets the opportunity to grow and contribute."

Mr. Sameer Ahmad Wani, Zonal Coordinator, Drugmulla, highlighted the sacrifices behind our freedom and the responsibility of nurturing confident, responsible and compassionate young citizens.

Mr. Mehraj Ud Din Pir, Teacher, BMS Anderhama, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and emphasized that such celebrations provide children with an opportunity to express themselves, build confidence and understand the values of freedom and responsible citizenship.

Gandhi Fellows Sanya Bhardwaj, Shreya Bansod and Sakshi Sinha were an integral part of the celebrations, delivering heartfelt messages that encouraged students to express themselves fearlessly and embrace joyful learning. Their energy and warmth added a special spark to the day, inspiring young minds to believe in their own voice.
