Melbourne: An anti-immigration protester entered the Melbourne hotel where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was staying during his visit to Australia and raised slogans against Modi and India, according to reports.

The protester reportedly reached the hotel's balcony and shouted slogans for a brief period before Victoria Police arrived at the scene. Police detained the protester and escorted him out of the hotel.

Officials clarified that the incident did not pose any threat to Prime Minister Modi's security. Following the incident, security around the hotel was further tightened. Modi's scheduled engagements continued as planned.
