KATHMANDU, Jun 27: Two Indian nationals were arrested in Nepal today for allegedly possessing narcotic drugs, police said.

Mona Ray, 34 and Pankaj Bose, 34, were arrested at Bagmati province's Nagdhunga check post  -- the main land entry point to Kathmandu.

Ray and Bose, both residents of Darjeeling, were travelling to Kathmandu from Kakarbhitta on a passenger bus, according to Nepal Police.

During a security check, police recovered 75 grams of brown sugar from their possession.

The police initiated investigation into the matter and took them into custody. (PTI)
