MOSCOW, July 21: The United Arab Emirates has sent 70 tonnes of humanitarian aid to victims of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, Emirates news agency WAM reported.

The shipment was delivered through the UAE Aid Agency in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Caracas, the report said on Monday. It reportedly includes medical supplies, tents, and shelter materials intended to meet urgent humanitarian needs and support the Venezuelan authorities' efforts to recover from the disaster.

The UAE Aid Agency said that its staff continue on-site inspections of the hardest-hit areas of La Guaira state to assess the scale of destruction and humanitarian needs, the report noted.

In addition, specialists regularly inspect tent camp sites and medical warehouses in Caracas to monitor the distribution of humanitarian aid and ensure its delivery in accordance with international humanitarian standards, the report read.
