PM SHRI Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra Hosts Mega Anti-Drug Awareness Drive under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Bhadarwah, August 04: In a strong push towards eradicating substance abuse, PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School, Bhalra organized an extensive awareness programme on Tuesday as part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The multi-departmental initiative was held in active collaboration with the 10 J&K Battalion NCC Bhaderwah, the Forest Department and the J&K Police Post Bhalra.
The event commenced with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul, Associate NCC Officer, 10 J&K Battalion NCC Bhaderwah. He welcomed an array of civil society members and dignitaries including Shri Ram Parshad Sharma, Shri K.K. Kotwal, Shri Rajinder Singh, Block Forest Officer Shri Randeep Singh, Din Mohd, Bippan Kumar and Rubbani from the Forest Department alongside In-charge Police Post Sukesh Kumar and Ashok Kumar from the J&K Police Department.
Addressing the packed gathering of students and faculty, Dr. Koul sensitized young minds to the severe physiological and psychological hazards of drug abuse placing special emphasis on the alarming misuse of Cannabis sativa. He passionately urged students to steer clear of intoxicants and embrace a disciplined, healthy lifestyle as responsible citizens.
Principal Asha Bhalwal and Block Forest Officer Shri Randeep Singh also addressed the audience underlining the deep social, physical and psychological scars inflicted by substance abuse. They strongly encouraged the student body to become torchbearers of a drug-free society.
A key highlight of the programme was a high-turnout Signature Campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Students enthusiastically signed the anti-drug pledge formally reaffirming their dedication to raising community awareness against the menace of narcotics.
The educational initiative was meticulously organized by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul with active assistance from Dr. Nitan Singh Kotwal and Nirbhik Singh under the overall supervision and guidance of Principal Asha Bhalwal.
The programme culminated with a collective oath and the resonant, inspiring message:
"Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life."
