DBU Celebrates ‘Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat’ with Excellence Awards, Brain Science & National Unity
Mandi Gobindgarh, August 10: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) celebrated the spirit of “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat” through an Educational, Cultural and Brain Science Initiative organized under the aegis of the DBU Institution’s Innovation Council (DBU-IIC) in collaboration with Nav Chetna Swabhiman Charitable Foundation and Kalika Brain Science Academy, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The programme was dedicated to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and 150 Years of Vande Mataram, highlighting the ideals of national unity, cultural integration, educational excellence, innovation and youth empowerment.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Sh. R. C. Mishra, Ex-DGP, Haryana; Special Guest of Honour Col. Jaibans Singh (Retd.); Dr. Harbans Lal, Ex-MLA, Sirhind; Sh. Dinesh Dixit, Political Analyst, Chandigarh; and Dr. Sunil Rajput, Founder, NSC Foundation.
The event brought together students, faculty members, researchers, educationists, professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders from within and outside the University. Academic sessions, scientific discussions, cultural activities and leadership-focused initiatives provided an enriching platform to promote creativity, collaboration and nation-building.
The event was organised under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor; Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor; and Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University.
A major highlight was the presentation of Excellence Awards to distinguished faculty members of Desh Bhagat University and eminent achievers from outside the University for their significant contributions to education, innovation, social welfare, community development, nation-building and societal advancement.
The celebrations concluded with an engaging Brain Science Workshop, in which students and educators participated enthusiastically and gained valuable insights into brain science, cognitive development and innovative approaches to learning.
The initiative reaffirmed DBU’s commitment to nurturing innovative minds, responsible citizens and empowered youth while strengthening the vision of a united, progressive and knowledge-driven India.
