3 Patients Alongwith Attendants Airlifted From Tangdhar to Kupwara

Karnah: Four dead bodies hailing from Tanghdar and were in mortuary at district hospital Handwara from last six days have been airlifted to Tanghdar from Kupwara through in a chopper, lent by Border Security Forces near about after six days.
As per the handout received by this newspaper states that, Dead bodies of 4 Tangdhar residents were airlifted in a chopper assisted by border security forces from Kupwara to Tanghdar here on Monday.
“Bodies of four residents of Karnah who passed away in different hospitals of Srinagar and were stuck at DH Handwara due to shutdown of Chowkibal-Tangdar road and possibly snow avalanche threat at Sadna pass, reached Tangdar on Monday”, adding “Dead bodies were received by SDM Karnah Dr.Gulzar Ahmad Rather, alongside with Officers of BSFand army authorities”, reads the handout further,
Deputy commissioner Kupwara Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray made fervent requisitions to B.S.F authorities for providing chopper service to airlift the deadbodies from Kupwara to Tangdhar.
Earlier, bodies were evacuated in an ambulance from district Hospital Handwara at 8.55 A.M to Zangli helipad from where they were dispatched to Tangdar at 9.30Am
In the meantime, three critical patients along with their 3 attendants and a Medical Assistant were airlifted to Kupwara by the chopper on its way back to Kupwara.
Meanwhile, the inhabitants of Karnah subdivision alongside with bereaved families have extended their heartiest gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray and Border security forces for their intense efforts in making it possible to take the bodies back to their native places despite inclement weather conditions in the area.
In the another good and well sternous effort on Sunday, on the requisitions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, 3 patients and 3 students were airlifted from Tangdar to Kupwara in a civil adminstration helicopter.
Notably, efforts are on to restore the Chowkibal-Tangdar road from the Beacon authorities, but snow avalanche threat at Sadna Pass is hampering the efforts of opening the road for vehicular traffic.
