Amid scorching heat and under lockdown the Inhabitants of Dooniwari,Potshaii and it’s adjoining areas stage protest near ,Fress Stop ,and said that we are with out drinking water since days.
“We are with out drinking water since days and authorities are in deep slumber as no one is listening our issues”,said a Local from Dooniwari.
“We are dipping for a water drop due to shortage of drinking water and we have to carry water from long ways”,women in the protest alleged.
Locals give high sound slogans “Jal Sakhti Department” Hy hy,DC Kupwara Hyhy, and demand restoration of Water as soon as possible.
While Taking issue with AEE Sogam,he said , ” that all over,all water outlets are running dry in across Lolab and the water logging tanks are carrying water for the area and they will reach very soon”.
Moreover,AEE Sogam also said that,”he will take it with higher Up’s definitely as people can het rid from this severity”.
As soon as protest hit streets,the Police and the concerned department reached to the spot for it’s redressal.
After the assurance of Jal Sakhti department people signs off the protest peacefully.
