Sopore : As whole nation celebrated 75th Independence day today, similar function was held in Police district Sopore at Khushal Sports Stadium in which ADC Sopore Parvaiz Sajad-JKAS was the chief guest and BDC Chairperson, SP Sopore the guest of honour.
During the function, the tricolour was unfurled by the Addition Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore Parvaiz Sajad-JKAS accompanied by the Superintendent of Police Sopore Sudhanshu Verma-IPS besides took salute at the march past.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore in his address, congratulated the people and the administration on the eve of Independence day and said that the administration is committed to achieve the target of sustainable development and will work for the betterment of people. He appreciated the efforts of COVID-19 warriors in fighting containment efforts of district administration.
Later on the occasion, Parvaiz Sajad also awarded a number of officers and fieldworkers for their outstanding performances and awarded appreciation trophies amongst the participants.
