Kupwara: Two soldiers who were seriously injured in ingoing gunfight at keran in Kupwara district succumbed to their injuries taking the total number of casualities to eight including five militants and three soldiers.
According to Wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Defence spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said two injured soldiers have succumbed to their injuries.
He told KNO that despite prevailing inclement weather conditions, casualties have been evacuated. “Unfortunately two more soldiers succumbed to their injuries, others are presently undergoing treatment,” Col Kalia said.
He said in total three soldiers have died in the ongoing operation at Keran sector in north Kashmir’s kupwara district.
Earlier ,he told KNO that five infiltrators have been killed and a soldier was killed and two soliders had suffered critical injuries.
